What to Wear for the Holidays

Just like that it’s two days until Christmas and less than 10 days until the end of the year. Do you know what you’re wearing for the holidays? If you’re thinking, Munee, I don’t have a clue… Of course your girl has your back. I am going to provide a simple guide for styling a cute holiday outfit. You may be thinking you don’t have enough time to shop, the great thing is you can probably find your outfit for the holidays right in your closet.

This year’s trends will be sure to have you looking cute and stylish for the holidays. Even if you’re spending your holidays in the living room, you will still want to come to the party chic and ready to enjoy some fun. If you’re unsure where to begin keep scrolling for cute, fun, and functional outfits you can wear to any party this year.

Wear a Rich Color

The LBD is always a great go-to, but let’s switch it up a bit. This holiday opt for a color like wine. This color will have you feeling sophisticated and chic. This was a popular color this Fall and you can even wear it for the holidays as well. A dress is a simple item to wear. You can dress it up by adding cute accessories. Add some textures to your outfit when you’re wearing this color. Something like faux leather or corduroy will help elevate the outfit. I paired this ruffled faux leather dress with cute multi-colored booties and a simple black purse. The less effort the better.

Go Monochrome

Mixing shades of one color will have you looking polished and put together. I paired this all black sheer top, with these high-waist pants, and added a black fedora to top it off. Now you can choose any shade, I opted for black, because I have a lot of it in my closet. Your monochrome outfit is an easy way to look like you were professionally styled.

Matching Sets

The easiest outfit to achieve is a matching set. There are skirt sets that are really cute. You can choose a set with bright, vibrant colors like red or blue, or green. The two-piece set will be lounge-ready if you’re only going to be in your living room this year. Depending on your personality and style, you can wear a matching set that has an eye-catching top or choose one that has fancy pants where you can still feel special. This holiday choose a matching set with textures or fancy fabrics to give you prefect balance of festive and cozy.

Winter White Season

Yes! White! Some people may not wear white after Labor Day. I am here to tell you that it is ok to wear white, especially for the holidays. An all white look is another easy way to get a clean and polished look. With no effort at all you can wear a white top and pants or a white top and skirt and add a fur or pea coat if you have to leave the house. Add pops of white to your outfit like a pair of boots or a white-wash denim for a winter look. You can’t go wrong with an all white outfit.

Now that you have some ideas on what to wear this holiday. Let me know how it goes by commenting below. Happy Holidays!! I can’t wait to see your outfits.
