Happy Hump Day ladies. I just want to start out saying I have come a long way! Not only with the blog, but with my own personal development as well. I am so thankful for this journey I started. I am so thankful to how far I’ve come.
Before 2020 started I set goals for my brand and blog. I would be lying to you if I told you that I thought I would be able to achieve all my goals. At the time, my mindset was not there. My goals were just goals or dreams without intention. I have to appreciate what I have learned this year. Even though it has been a trying time, 2020 has really changed my life in many ways. Check out my prev blog post “What 2020 Taught Me” and read more about what this year has taught me.
It makes me feel good to say some of the goals I set, I have accomplished!!!
Let me share how some tools to help you set goals for 2021!

Set Goals that will Motivate you
When you set goals make sure they are important to you. You want to make sure there is value in achieving them. You also have to have to be motivated to work towards your goals. Motivation is the key to achieving your goals.
Set Specific Goals
Your goals should specific to what you in life. The more clear and defined the goal is will help you achieve it. Get real specific so you can visually see the end result in your mind. Decide exactly what you want in life. You won’t be able to hit a target you cannot see.

Set Goals that are Attainable
Set a goal that you will have to work for, nothing too easy. You want to make sure it is possible to achieve your goals. If you set a goal that’s too hard to accomplish you will break that confidence you’re building. By setting realistic yet challenging goals, you hit the balance you need. These are the types of goals that require you to “raise the bar” and they bring the greatest personal satisfaction.
Write your Goals Down
When you physically write your goals down it becomes real and tangible. Write them down everyday to remind yourself what you’re working towards. Post your goals in visible places to remind yourself every day of what it is you intend to do. Put them on your walls, desk, computer monitor, or a mirror as a constant reminder.
Create an Action Plan
I think this is the most important step, that gets missed sometimes. Once you have a goal set small steps to help you achieve that goal. Write down the steps or the path to get to your goal is a MUST. When you write down the individual steps you can start crossing them off as you get closer to your goal. This is why it’s important to celebrate even the small wins, because it gets you one step closer to your goal.

Even though I’ve given you a roadmap to achieve your goals. You also have to stick with it, and continue to work on each goal until they’re achieved. I recommend starting off with 3-5 goals so you don’t get overwhelmed and feel like you want to quit. Stay consistent when working towards your goals.
I hope this has helped you prepare for the new year’s goals or even if you have some goals still left in 2020. Please let me know in the comments if you liked this post and what would you like to learn more about.
