Happy Hump Day! Girl, do I have a sweet surprise for you. As you all know fashion is my passion. However, I’ve been getting more into skin care. I think it’s essential to nurture and take care of my skin. Now that I’m in my 30’s I have made my skin care a priority of my life. Keeping your skin together is essential, and it’s a part of self-care.
I have been searching for natural products to help me take care of my skin. I wanted to find products that didn’t irritate my eczema and wouldn’t be so harsh on my sensitive skin. Which is why I am featuring La Pink Rose in this week’s post. This beautiful black entrepreneur has a lot to offer. La Pink Rose offers skin care products that are all natural and can be used for all skin types, and get this…. they’re pastries! How cute. La Pink Rose has homemade donut soaps, cupcake bath bombs, coffee sugar scrubs, and so much more. These skin care pastries are so cute and unique, you’re so tempted not to eat them.
I spoke with the creator and owner of La Pink Rose and she gave me insight on herself and business.
Tell us about you and your business.
I am a 22-year old skin care pastry chef. I started doing this when I was 14, and by 17 I was selling my products. I received my LLC in 2017 and started La Pink Rose. I say that I’m a pastry chef because my products are more similar to what you make in the kitchen. We want everyone to be inspired by our skin care products. The reason I started, because I noticed black owned skin care companies weren’t being creative with their products. I just wanted to add some creativity as well as natural skin care products to the market.
What sets you apart from everyone else?
First off my age. The fact that my products are good. Everyone is always saying “OMG, it makes me want to eat them.” The look of my products really sets me apart from all the rest!
What’s your favorite product?
The blueberry cobbler whipped soap. I actually dehydrate the blueberries myself. It’s wonderful to make and smells really good. It lathers up really well also.
What’s the item that sells out the most?
Body Butter. All of them!
What advice do you have for other black women looking to start a business?
Think big! Don’t limit your beliefs. It’s not a bad thing to be picky. And don’t look at it as being picky. I know I want everything to be pretty, but we remember everything doesn’t have to be perfect. In terms of branding it needs to be consistent. And always show the real YOU!
Please enjoy these sweet pastries for your skin. It’s such a delight to know you have a product that not only works well, but is visually appealing as well. Keeping your skin together is essential, it’s a part of self-care. Make sure you check out https://lapinkroses.com/ and let her know Munee sent you! Have a great week ladies.
